Ben, our bass player and singer, is off to sunny Florida, where he will now be a rocket scientist. Or something very close to it, anyway. Which leaves just me, Tyler, on guitar. Which, in turn, means that Sidetracked is now pretty much completely defunct. I might be off to somewhere, too. Not really sure.

Given that, I figure I might as well go ahead and link our musical sideprojects - which practically speaking, means my musical sideprojects (as of right now, anyway). I figure you might find some music among these to your liking.

Ancillary - Multisegmented and heavily layered acoustic guitar instrumentals, utilizing anywhere from one to a dozen guitars at once.

Politics of Snow - A joint instrumental project with Blanket Records curator Seawaffle. I provide structure, cohesion, and the basis of the song, whether it's acoustic or electric guitar, piano, or whatever else, and he provides crazy noise music elements that make things interesting.

Science of Shape - My instrumental blend of post rock and noise music. Electric guitars, ambient sound washes, distorted TV static, garbled piano - it's all fair game.

Feel free to check any of that stuff, and this site will remain up in the forseeable future, as will the mp3s. Who knows what will happen beyond that. I'll keep you posted.

We have, unfortunately, lost our drummer to a move for a job involving lots of physics stuff we don't really understand. But we do pretend to. In any case, that puts us in a bad way, and in mandatory hiatus mode. Again. On the upside, if you're a drummer, are in the Cleveland area, and are interested in playing with us, contact us.

We're finally back from our hiatus, and are practicing up. We've got another handful of new songs, which we have plans to record within the next year or so. In the meantime, we're nailing them down, and will likely be gigging out around Cleveland within a few months. We will, of course, let you know of any gigs as they are booked by way of the Sidetracked mailing list.
