Working on Ancillary |

So I figure I might as well be a little more specific in my "taking a break" thing: I'm actually working on putting together a couple Ancillary albums. The first is just going to be old material, though getting together CD-quality recording of those songs has been an effort, and involved re-recording some lost parts and songs. The second will be new and semi-new material, making use of more instruments than just the guitar - hence the "semi". I intend to rework old material to include the new instruments I have at my disposal, which will include some session musicians.
All in all, I'm pretty excited about it, but it's difficult to keep up with that and Science of Shape and everything else in life, so for the next couple of months, or perhaps the rest of this calendar year, Science of Shape is in hibernation. |

I'm going to delay the remix project one more month (at least), and probably skip the new song this month, too. Working on a lot of stuff, some of it music related - though not Science of Shape related. Only so much time each day, I'm afraid. |

The Mercury Program |

It's been awhile since I listened to The Mercury Program, but they're excellent to pull out every now and then. Vibraphones, rhodes, and echoed guitars in addition to drums and bass. Very hypnotic, trance-like instrumental music. |
